Veterans Memorial Plaza

Veterans Memorial Plaza in downtown Ogunquit

Veterans Memorial Plaza: a civic place of remembrance in the center of Ogunquit.

Veterans Memorial Plaza is a small memorial space in the center of Ogunquit, offering a public place of pause, gratitude, and remembrance within the daily life of the town. Located near Beach Street in the downtown area, it serves as a civic marker of respect for those who served in the armed forces and for the sacrifices carried by veterans, families, and communities across generations.

Unlike some of Ogunquit's more scenic or commercial gathering places, the plaza asks for a quieter kind of attention. It stands not as spectacle, but as acknowledgment: a place where memory is made visible in a modest public setting, and where patriotism is expressed through reflection rather than display.
